Job Description

 

We are looking for a QA specialist to help us push our products to the next level. You will be responsible for testing and evaluating our state-of-the-art software to ensure we are delivering user centric solutions that exceed the industry standard. Working alongside a talented team of software engineers, you will explore end-user needs, specifications and technical design documents to create and maintain an effective testing process. This is an opportunity to ensure quality products are delivered, solve real-world payments challenges, and work alongside a talented team of engineers and developers working across all layers of our infrastructure.

 

As part of our QA team, you will: 

  • Dig into details, overcome unexpected challenges, and ensure product accuracy
  • Provide test strategy and design based on project requirements.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test scrips and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities with the development team
  • Test and certify new business apps and validate modifications to existing apps
  • Test data setup for defined test cases
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bug reports
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Communicate with company partners during the testing and certification process
  • Debug and define corrective actions for identified defects
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
  • Identify opportunities to increase testing processing efficiency
  • Perform end to end testing – Create, maintain and execute database queries for backend data verification
  • Perform log reviews on Unix and Window servers
  • Create and maintain the regression test suite
  • Perform new payment host certification using UL BTT card simulator test tools
  • Prepare testing according to different payment card brands

 

About You 

  • You are a detailed thinker who combines data and details with context and purpose
  • You have experience working on verification and validation projects in a fast-paced environment
  • You excel at analyzing and solving problems related to QA
  • You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • You are self-motivated and able to quickly assimilate documentation and team direction/training, as well as maneuver and adjust to new and evolving challenges
  • You have strong communication skills, while working directly with others and when documenting or creating instructions
  • You’re able to research, solve problems, and work both independently and in a team environment

 

Your Qualifications 

  • At least 3 years of proven Quality Assurance experience in the payments industry
  • Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science
  • Solid understanding of basic Quality Assurance methodologies
  • Good understanding of EMV, contact, contactless and magstripe transaction
  • Have experience with payment application testing
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience testing payment hosts using UL test tool device
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency in SQL

 

Nice to have 

  • Hands-on experience working with payment terminals
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with Web and Payment application testing
  • Experience with Unix command line and basic scripting
  • Experience with JIRA, Oracle and Angular
  • Prior experience working with software development teams to improve product quality
  • Experience in software installation on payment terminals
